How often do you catch or even attempt to catch fish away from traditional structure? ie. stumps, trees, docks
Do you spend much time fishing just humps or spots along creek channels?

Filletfetish. (Sounds like a Crappie Metal Band name. Love it!)
Honestly, I like to fish where the fish are, just like you. Fishing the AL river for example, look where there is an eddy or no current and they are there. I love to one-pole but fish often decide how I'll have to fish for them. We found fish spider rigging Friday, but we found fish that would bite, shooting docks. That's another thing i love about fishing, changing tactics to adapt to the fish. I hope I answered your question completely but let me know if not. Blessings, -TJ
Thanks man. I finally got a chance to go with Jane Gallenbach a couple of weeks ago in her airboat. I've never fished rapids in one of those. Caught crappie in the tree behind us and Whites in the eddy across the way. BTW- The 1/4 oz GLOW Road Runner heads with a solid tube body was the trick. We use those heads in the river here when crappie are deep. Brown algae water like Grenada is perfect for the Glow heads. Try the weird colors like bubblegum and sherbert. Give them a try sometime.
And thank you!
