WHERE CAN I FIND BIG BREAM IN EARLY APRIL AT OR AROUND STATE PARK?
Private pond is my suggestion,,,,,see a lot of pics of mediocre size bream off public waters,,,the real plate size whoppers are hybrids off somebody's feeder,,,,jmho
What state park???
The county lakes are where I catch some really nice bluegills
In the water. lol
just kidding, had to say that, wish you good luck though, and if you find them, please post pics
I agree with Chuckster's post earlier about someone's pond. In northern Alabama most bluegill are "relativey" small to average. In April, you can find some really nice shellcrackers. There are some beds around Alreds Marina on Guntersville and some in and around Wheeler State Park on Joe Wheeler Lake. Slab is too funny...
Not sure where you are. In my neck of the woods, Geneva County Lake is a great place to fill a cooler with bluegills and shellcrackers. I personally think the upper lake is better for bream, but there are other locals that argue the lower lake is better.
Guntersville Yacht Club had some huge bream when I was out there in July.
guntersville state park
All I ever do is fish in the Town Creek area and look for mussel beds around the islands..
