Wylie night stalk 12-17-22
Met up with a crowd of fellows at Ebenezer Park and got informed of time to quit and meet back at the ramp. Everyone was chopping at the bits to get on the water, so we all lined up and got this thing underway.
A few went toward Little Allison and everyone else went to Torrence Branch. After a few hours it really didn't look like it was going to pick up. Only getting one every so often. Had lots of hits but fish were not taking the bait completely into their mouth. Left secret spot and move to 30 feet of water and set up again only to get 3 perch and 2 crappies before we left for home. Water temp was 52 and air temp was cold... 34 degrees I had on the truck and cell phone was the same. Wind was blowing pretty good then laid down a bit before we went home. I think we had 6 boats in all but not sure with everyone running around. John Hammett fished with me and was great keeping me awake. We had 4 crappies and 3 perch to bring home. Few of the guys gave me their fish for Miss Sandy and that was 15 crappie and a couple of perch. Since my sinus surgery two weeks ago I have only been with a cold nose two times. Once deer hunting in the am 30 something degrees and last night with wind and chill factor in the 30's. Maybe it's good for me I don't know, time will tell. We had a good time out last night and enjoyed seeing the crowd again, I hope it will be better next time. No pictures as I was not thinking of showing off such a poor limit of puny fish. :Rofl
