I have been rigging with the Capps and Coleman minnow rigs but I would like to add some jigs into the mix to help save on minnows a bit. I normally use a 1oz weight and I would like the jigs to keep up with the minnow rigs.

Just replace your minnow hooks with jig's. Or tie a couple of loop knots in your line about a foot apart leave about a foot of tag line on bottom and put a snap swivel there. Attach a 1 oz bass sinker and put jig's on loop's.
I normally start with a jig on the bottom of 2 poles and a gnat on the bottom of the other 2 . the top leader has the opposite of what's on bottom . The use of snap hooks will allow you to switch to all jigs, gnats with minnow or straight minnow hooks in minutes .I use only four poles but would use as many as possible if I was fishing tournaments . :twocents
