I like the log book idea. However my problem with any data collection is two fold. The time to record, and having the information available when it's time to record it. I like the idea of linking weather to the app. It can then populate temp, wind speed and direction, barometric readings including up, down, steady, etc. Moon phase, sunrise, sunset, high tide, low tide. Lake water surface temp, water clarity, lake depth above sea level. Water column depth and how deep I was catching them on that spot, gps coordinates for that spot. Fishing method, jig colors, live artificial or combination. That's a lot of data to capture, anything to expedite that process would be the cat's meow. Photos linked to the log entry will help capture jig combination and colors.
All that detail takes time to capture and record. Some would find that too be too much detail, the ability to hide/unhide data would be helpful.
Getting real close to an Access database type product.
