Myself.....I prefer the Reel-Lights I like the larger size green ones, they are great all LED's......very low amp draw and you buy direct from the manufacturer. see the link in my signature
Brand name: Reel Lites
No maintence, 50,000 hour (17 years) low amps draw compared to other types
I have purchased three reel-lites and they work great from the bank or from a dock or boat. You will love them. The manufacturer is my dad, Bob Spare.
i just bought a green flour. light from academy sports for $20 ,probally about 2ft long
Q-beams by Brinkman. $13.99 at academy. Submersible halogen white light, very bright, always bring the crappie in.
We used standard 12 volt incandescent bulbs in rubber sockets. These work great as long as you submerge them in water BEFORE you connect them to the battery. Of course you need pretty clear water because even a 100 watt bulb doesn't put much light underwater.
Aurora LED green. Love it. 3 years and still looks and works like new. Haven't seen Bob #1's LED's yet, as I don't think his were on the market when I purchased the Aurora.
