A very nice tribute....thank you for sharing the link
Awesome, thanks for sharing. And Thank You to all our Veterans and anyone currently defending our freedom, home and abroad.
I stood at the casket of the Marine older brother of a childhood friend of mine who died there in 1969. It left a scarred memory on me.
I got out of high school a year before the conflict ended and the way GIs were being treated by those who opposed the war, caused me to decide the military wasn't for me. I have always regretted that decisions because my Dad served in the USAF, my brother in the Navy and I lost an uncle who was a proud Screaming Eagle with the 101st in Korea.
I ate breakfast with a friend this morning who saw many terrible things in Nam as a Marine. He mentioned today that he promised if he survived his hitch , he would never leave our county to live. He hasn't. My special thanks to him and all the others who served.
Two tours for me....68 and 71.......Welcome Home to all my brothers
A special thanks to those who did and do serve in the armed forces to protect my sorry, coward self from evil. Thanks.
Thanks for posting. Long time overdue. Brings back a lot of emotions.....
I was in the Air Force at that time. 1963-1983. I was a B 52 an KC 135 crew chief. I had combat mission but in the air. Thank you for the post.
