Is green fishable above holmes and past emerald isle or is it muddy?
:popcorn
My sources say it's murky water & they're catching some quality sized fish (in 5 to 15fow). That's on the HB end of the lake, as I do not have access to sources that fish the Emerald Isle area.
Friday, the water was on the muddy side but had 46 keepers. The lake has came up a foot or so since then. But I will know more tomorrow.
Thst would be great, keep me posted.
The water had came up a foot or so, the water temp had dropped 3 to 5 degrees and was a little more muddy.
Well, I changed up and pushed jigs for all but a hour and changed back to what I was doing Friday. I didn't see a ton of fish and most that I did see won't bite. Plus, I had a newbie pushing jigs and I didn't think about it but 16ft poles is a little much must for somebody that is new at it. So I stayed around from some places I would have fish if I was with somebody that was use to doing it. Doubled the number of keepers in the last year. Had the worse day I have had at green in several years. Had 20 keepers and dink to keeper was the worse I have had in several years too.
Our last two trips had been right around 50% dink to keeper but how I don’t know. Lol My. buddy said he caught around 200 dinks to 30 keepers last time he went spider rigging two weeks ago. I’ve been single poling plastics on off shore trees & lay downs.
