Good guide
I had booked a guide for white bass and wiper fishing at Truman today.
His name is Jason Jelke, think thats it, and he guides out of Sterret Creek.
I talked to Jason last night and he said he hadn't been catching anything
the last two days and didnt think we should go out today. He was booked
up solid the rest of the fall and he probably lost the day's fee unless
someone cancels, and I can replace them. Jason seems like a very
honest guy and he still could have taken my money, and let me have a
crummy trip. I know there are a lot of really good guides on Truman
and I think Jason is one of them.

Don't know about Jason, but Joey was a pretty good baseball player back in the day... Joey has put a buddy and his wife on very good fish. My friend brought back his kids to fish with him again. Having repeat business can't be a bad thing.
"Jelinek" = Joey or Jason
A quick google search will bring up some articles that they have quotes.

I have heard some great things about the both of the Jelinek boys. I do not know them but have seen some big fish pics from there trips. I think they may guide out of Osage Bluff but not for sure.

Jason and Joey Jelinek are brothers, both guides, and two of the most honest good hearted people you will ever meet on the water. I've known them both for over 30 years and have never heard a bad word spoken towards either of them. If anyone wants to book with them they actually guide out of Long Shoal. You can see pics of them both on the Long Shoal web site. I do know that Jason stays booked pretty much all year from March thru November, and Joey almost as much though he is still involved with baseball during the summer.
