You can get most any type of quality hearing protection at any welding supply store. Thats where I bought my muffs at.
I shot 4 rounds of 000 (4 -000 per shell) at a stump about 30 yards away..The snow is still deep here which allowed Doris to see where I hit..:D I had my eyes closed after the first shot.. She said there might have been 2 shot that hit the stump:mad:but snow was flying all around the stump..:D
I would hate to have to fire this thing in close quarters....
DonG: Cabela's or BPS should have a good assortment of hearing protection. EB
I always thought you were supposed to keep your eyes open when firing a gun!
I find the muffs to be much more comfortable and I believe they offer better protection too. I can't get a dang ear plug to stay in my ears for nothin'.
I have the 45/410 single shot they call it a "bedroom" gun, accuracy with the shot shell or .45 long colt is very limited past 10-15 feet. The rifiling of the barrel really spreads the .410 shot out quickly and the .45 slug starts tumbling almost as soon as it leaves the barrel, the effects of a tumbling .45 slug on human flesh ain't pretty!
like the mil. use cigg. butts
Guns, shooting and fishing have been my passion for about all of my 57 years, so I know a little about these subjects. Bullets from any quality made gun do not tumble when they leave the bore. Anybody who can't hit the broad side of a barn doe's not need a handgun of any kind. Maby even a playing card at 15FT. Anybody has to close their eyes when they shoot maby just need to call 911 in an emergency. Just my two cents worth.
