Heading out early Tuesday morning for Slidell, LA. Going to the groundbreaking for the new AWG warehouse to be built there over the next year. What has this got to do with fishing you might ask? Well, it so happens I am going out for Redfish and Specs Wednesday morning from Coco Marina. I am told my boat will have a special guest, none other than Terral Evans from Swamp People. I expect to have a blast. Will update the thread over the weekend to let you all know how it went..

We got out at daybreak on Thursday morning. The whole boat had it's limit of speckled trout by 10:00 a.m., then we headed out for the redfish. After another 45 minutes on the boat we reached prime redfish territory. We had our limit of 5 bull redfish in about 30 minutes and caught 10 others pretty much bang,bang,bang. We decided to head in and made it back to dock around 1:00 p.m. A guy at the dock cleaned the fish for us, and back north we headed. This was my first time going after speckled trout and redfish, but I guarantee it wont be my last. We had a great time, and meeting Terral Evans from Swamp People was cool. Got my pic with him, maybe I will post..

That is me and Terral Evans of Swamp People. He is actually a very nice dude. His uncle is the mayor of Pearl River which is where this pic was taken.
