Headed down to Lake Fork next weekend and I’ve never crappie fished it. Mainly going to bass fish but planning to throw the crappie rods in so I can maybe catch me a cooler full of slabs. Any advice on where to start or what to do this time of year? I am assuming the crappie are still shallow.
Fork crappie tend to stay pretty deep around spawn time , I would look in 10 to 20 foot of water , you might find them shallower, it is likely if you fake book it some the local guides will give up enough to find a few.Quote:

The bass are running small this year btw , saw an article about just the other day, fisheries folks are blaming poor spawns a few years ago ....FYI
