    Default Firing up ol Bessie….


    Time to make some 1/8oz minnowheads with #2 sickle hooks,,,, running low so it’s time,,, What hooks do most of ya’ll use with 1/8oz jigheads? I do both #2 and #1 sickles mostly,,,, but when the spawn starts,,, I go up to 1/0 hooks,,,,

    I use size 2 hooks on 1/8 jig heads. Sometimes I use size 4 hooks but really depends on the bait I am using.

    #2 Aberdeen. a VMC specifically. I'm not a fan of sickles.

    Takem, you and I fish a lot alike. Same hook sizes. The big diff is I don't really care what hook I use. I bend every hook point a lil to one side and fish it.

    Just building them the way most guys fish,,,remember grumpy, I don’t fish anymore….I used to use 1/0 sickle mostly on my fish if not larger,,,fish round the Big 4, especially during the spawn , are huge here,,
