    What brand of paint are you using? I agree about the clear. anything from harbor freight needs thinned.

    I bought a dental vibration machine and run the cup on top. It keeps the power moving and was only about $50. You can adjust the vibration intensity. Just make sure you attach the base to the vibration plate so it doesn't shake off and dump the powder everywhere.

    You can get quality automotive clear powder paint for much cheaper. I’ve used this from thepowdercoatstore.com for several years with great results:
