Default Red Mustad hooks changing color in the oven

I made an order from Shorty's recently and noticed they had a few sizes of the Mustad 32500 in red. I bought a couple boxes on a whim and powder painted them with my usual method, 30 minutes at 350F and the red changed to a copper color. Anyone know what time and temperature to bake them at to prevent this?

I bake all jigs 320 for 20 minutes. Try this. Also I’d get an external temp gauge to ensure your over temps are accurate. Could be way hotter than 350.

I haven't tried those hooks, but others in red I have used seem to flake off the hook. So I have purdy much quit using red. I think it is a temperature issue as well. And I use the same settings as you.
