Each color is in separate jars. I used five colors with the jigs in the thread with a micro pearl base coat, brush tapping three colors then into either the silver crinkle or custom clear coat that has super fine glitter. I have painted over 500,000 jigs by hand over the 30+ years I've been painting them so the more you paint the easier it gets. I heat the head one time using a Bic lighter counting as I go so I know how long I need to heat the head to get through all five colors without heating it too much. or not enough. I'll show pics of my set up later and what the new pigments look like in texture compared to pre mixed colors by Pro-Tec.

Size: 84.7 KB First picture is my micro pearl with white pro tec next to it trying to show the difference in the texture, the micro pearl is lighter and fluffy in comparison. Second picture is my 5 color set up when I'm ready to paint. Last picture is two jigs painted with those colors, changing the sequence in the order I dipped and brush tap creates two different head colors.

So are you dipping in white as base coat first then applying the colors on top? Nice looking jigs.

Do you know what the difference is between the Micropearl and the Macropearl? Looking online at Hobby Lobby and hard to tell difference.

I'm dipping into a white or the micro pearl first then brush tapping 2-3 colors then into my glitter/clearcoat or the silver crinkle. When I first got the crinkle paints I noticed the silver crinkle was fluffier than the other three crinkle colors and it had better movement when baked. I went through all my paints but couldn't find anything close to the texture of the silver crinkle until I tried mixing some Pearl Ex that I had purchased years earlier into some candy colors and it worked. Now I'm working with a dozen colors that I mixed up. It's actually cheaper for me to mix my own buying clear by the pound and mixing in PE and the jigs colors are better.
