For each color I start by filling the jar about 2/3 full of clear powder that I buy by the pound. I use smaller jars than the ones from Pro-tec when you buy 2 oz. Then I add about 1/3 teaspoon of UV Blast which I use because it makes everything brighter. I add glitter, usually .004 gold or silver holographic glitter that I buy from pickapolish.com Last thing I add is the Pearl EX Pigment powder a little at a time, put the lid on and shake the crap out of it. Dip a test jig or 2 and if it's to light add more until it's the shade you want. When you have enough the powder paint will start to look fluffier than normal powder paint and then it's ready. Too much pearl ex and paint will be too fluffy and you need to thin it with more clear. I used five different colors for these heads which I dip or brush tap before the final dip into the silver crinkle and then bake at 350.

Pictures of some of my pigment colors. It comes in 3 gram jars, enough to color 2-3 oz of powder paint. I paid $3.19 for each jar but they do sell 12 jar assortments for $32.99.Check for it at your local hobby shops. Name: IMG_2290.JPG
