Redneck rubber company makes some crappie jigs with up to 2/0 hooks sizes,,,i actually tried several on our very large crappie here in north Mississippi and they worked well,,,,I just didn’t like dealing with such large hooks … https://www.redneckrubberco.com/wp-c...ed-100x100.jpg

The stronger hook molds are all heavier that I have found. And I definitely can't afford a custom mold.

Beginning to think it is just better to buy them from the experts here than to get into something that requires modifying the molds, dealing with the flash and making things too frustrating.

Maybe there is a way to modify a mold to take both the heavier hooks and still be able to make clean lighter hook jig heads. I have the skills, just not necessarily the physical ability if that makes sense.
Here's your molds, 2 versions for heavier hooks. I prefer Mustad 32833s for big trout:

    Round Head Jig - Steelhead

Both Do It and Zeiners has them in stock. Better order soon as these go fast.

need 3/8 and 1/2 ounce but I found the mold for it.

    Do-It Round Head Mold 635 Hook - Small Weight - Barlow's Tackle (barlowstackle.com)

Already have hooks and have fit the hooks to the mold. This mold will take 3 different hooks so far, the EC 630, mustad 32833 and vmc 7152 so have my beefy hooks all ready to go. Just need to get my tremors under control so I can melt some lead and pour without burning the garage down, or casting my feet.

Good to know that's the mold for heavier jigs. I might have to order that one too.

    Thank you!
