I use the heatgun and a pair of bent locking forceps to hold the hook. I built a set of fluid beds to use.

I'm currently in the process of making a fluid bed to try. Making a cup for each color since I'll only be using 5 colors, for now anyway. Hopefully I won't blow powder all over the ceiling when I first start...lol

Yes those throttling valves are essential. Ive got preoccupied while powder gets good and fluid. Well the little volcano erupts and wow that makes a mess quick. LOL Always amazes me how different colors take more air than others.

Yes add clear to most your colors. Discos and chrome are some you don’t want to. You’ll get a better results especially on those that want to give you fits. I use to mix a 50/50 ratio but have backed off to a 70 color/30 clear ratio. Once I do my head in what ever color I then dip in clear.

Well, their not the best but I think they will fish. Did a few just dipping them to see how it would go. I do believe this may be a new hobby for me, from a bucket full of scrap lead to this.Name: 20210924_131408.jpg

Nice paint jobs and those blades look fantastic. The next colors I would get would be a bright green or chartreuse green and blaze orange. I've been using powder paint for around thirty years and have painted over 250,000 jigs using a Bic lighter as my heat source and my method won't ever change because it works for me. Once you get your system down you can start on multiple color heads using brushes to tap powder on the top, bottom or both. It's still a lot of fun for me and more colors keep it interesting.
