Glad you had a good experience with TJ's Tackle. I am getting an order together for them myself.
I am a recent convert to the joy that is powder painting jigs. I purchased all my supplies from TJ Tackle, where I was treated well. Their cost were great and service was exceptional. I know there are other sources available to us, maybe even a sponsor of this forum; but I am unaware of who that may be. Yesterday I stopped by a local bait shop/hardware/convenience/gas store. They sell Pro-Tec paint for $8.99/2 oz jar. TJ Tackle was about $5.49 for the same product, if memory serves me well. This morning I looked at BPS's web page and saw this:
Access Denied
Now I want to ask you, who are they selling their stuff to? To my way of thinking, BPS has left its roots, and is catering to a whole different crowd. Several of my patients were instrumental in the formation of BPS years ago. I know how they started, why they started and how they established themselves. To my way of thinking, greed has consumed that company now.
This whole search has impressed upon me the need for the average guy, you and me, to support those who have not left us and still want our business, and know how to do it fairly and honestly, and professionally.
Pardon my rant. I feel better now.....I think ! :-)

BPS probably did you a favor. I have not had good service there in several years and Cabelas has gone the way of the the dinosour since they were gobbled up. The little store with high prices is just trying tp keep the lights on for the most part. You have a good post there.
I don't buy Pro-Tec anymore. I use Rosy's, Powder by the pound and others. And learned how to mix from a lot of talented people!! But you're right! Last and only time I was ever in a Bass Pro was in Auburn NY on the way to my Dads and I stopped and bought my grand daughter a new fishing outfit! I've been to Cabela's only once in a while as Vermont doesn't have one!! but even the web sites have gone done hill!! They were supposed to stay separate and now you can hardly find the Cabela's brand rods!!! Must be in buckets on sale at the stores!!!
