    Default Lil Nasty problem

I have gone through 500 Lil Nasty's making Jigs. #2 size. Found 70% of them don't have a completely closed eye. My tourney partner and I have lost several nice fish due to this problem. We use a loop knot and have reeled in a bunch of times to find an empty loop. Have crimped down with plyers on the eyes and it helps but not the solution. Is this just a bad batch? Has anyone else experienced this? I hate to have to start looking a replacement hook. Any help would be most appreciated.CF

Had some of the same issue but not quite as bad as yours. I went to the Mustad version and been a lot happier.

Sorry but I've found this in every hook I've ever tried.

It amazes me, how I can cast, and that jig flies right off that loop!

They all have this issue once in a while. In mass production they get all the goody out of their parts to make money. As the parts wear the quality control catches it and it is corrected. The problem is several thousand hooks can go between checks. So we get bad hooks once in a while and sometimes lots of them.

Thanks Crappiefarmer for posting this. I have several of these books that I'm going to check.
