Hey guys and gals, my older unused jigs I put in small bags of 6 or more and they go to kids fishing derby's. There I let the facilitators distribute to the kids as they see fit. All a new fisherman wants is free swag. I keep needless inventory down and make more jigs.

Another path some of us have taken is to buy a hot pot and a couple of molds that you would use a lot. Then you can paint some excellent jigs and see the smile on someone’s face when you put them in their hand. I couldn’t begin to count all I have given away. At a dime or less each I can afford to be generous. The thought that goes through my mind a lot is the guy that gave me a Creme plastic night crawler looking worm in The late 60’s. He probably gave it to me to shut me up but he has no idea of the fire he built in me. Two do it molds and a hot pot can be had for around a hundred and lead can be scrounged if you hold your mouth right. When I started pouring I had someone tell me they were putting in an order and did I want anything. I bought 7000 sickle hooks, some of which I still have. Just give it some thought.
