Any tips on pouring split shot?
Or more or less cleaning em up?
Pour fine, extra difficult releasing from mold and very tedious cutting spruce w/o mangling the looks of em.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Simple buy them!! LOL Tried pouring re-useable years ago and never could get them to come out and sold the mold!! Not worth the head ache! Plus in Vermont you can't use lead ones anymore! Have to use tin or steel.

Thx but not an option. If I buy something in order to not go to a store. And not participate in the tat race ...then it will get learned.

To be truthful, was only trying to pretty em.
    They’ll work as is

How are you removing the spruce? I use a pair of dikes to hold the spruce and hold the jig head in my hand and rock it back and forth. It will break off very even.
The best thing my dad ever gave me was his love of fishing.

    Same way more or less...
Was thinking there was a way to be more efficient. Guess it’s like anything, learn the mold.

    Thx everyone

The only other way I know of is an xacto knife if it is light flashing. Watch the fingers, the knife cares nothing about meat in the way.

They look about normal to me...use soft lead, clip sprue off, go fishing.

For molds that are hard to get the finished product out of, consider a dry graphite spray and grab with pliers by the spure and lift straight up keeping it square to the mold. It's like that with the Do-It swimbait jighead mold, too.

Never poured any but use gate cutters to trim sprue. Only ground on one side and trim cleaner, and get closer. Those look good to me
