I'm with the second guy.
New to powder paint and am really liking it. I'm now beginning to try adding glitter and doing two tone jig heads. So far I've watched 3 how to videos and all three have showed different methods of two tone.
- First guy did both paints in one step - heated the jig head and quickly dipped in his first coat and sprinkled the second color before it all cooled, then cured.
- The second guy heated once and dipped his first coat then let the jig cool. He then re-heated and sprinkled the second color, then cured.
- The third guy did his first coat, cured it, then re-heated and sprinkled.
So - before I sit here all day watching videos and getting a thousand different methods, I'd much rather get some opinions from people who know what they're talking about. (Not to say the guys who made the videos didn't know what they were talking about, I just put much higher value in the advice from this forum.)

You can do a lot of those things like they did and more. Bottom line is after doing all this 20 years ago I never proved that I could catch more fish on one that I added all the things and effort to than right jig, right day. However, it is fun to experiment with. Enjoy the hobby and the thump.

What do you mean by adding glitter? Is it in clear powder?
When I make two tone heads I heat my head, dip my base color and tap on my second color with a paintbrush, as many times as needed. Then hang and cure them all together at the highest/longest cure temp of the colors I used.
#1 for me also.
I got some PP at Harbor freight,(cheap stuff) Picked up very small glitter from Willy world( also cheap). You can use .015 glitter, but the smaller the better. Made a few colors and a good one was flat black with blue glitter.

I heat, dip, back on heat for a couple seconds, and into second color. I dont do 2-tones but fluorescent or glows over white base coats. I do my other colors with the air brush over the base coated jig.
For glitter, you can mix it into the paint. Just be sure you use METAL glitter or it will melt in the curing process. Any powder paint/automotive paint store has it. You can go micro fine up to course. 015 is pretty standard. 008 is small. Best way to just get glitter accents to your jig is to mix it into clear powder and do another dip on top... but it will mix into colored powder just fine too.
killer info y'all - big thanks
