No need to cure, heat head, dip in base color then pass over heat source lightly and into your clear with glitter. When doing that I run two cups at same time off a dual outlet aquarium pump. Just dip heat dip and into cup of water to cool hang then after a bunch done I clean up around hook eye and bake.
#1 FOR ME ALSO. Cray, I have tried dipping the head in water to cool and not cure them but I get chipping from the uncured head. We are doing something different no doubt.
I use #2 and I dip and use fluid beds. Once you learn it you can mix the glitter right into the paint. Advice!! Write down every thing you do when mixing!!! I have this really cool color and I can't for the life of me remember how I mixed it!!!
Kevin you don't have to use metal glitter!! I use craft store glitter all the time and just about every brand. I really like the Nicole brand glitter in extra fine.
Cadman who's posted here some but is very active on another board has as a quote and I use it!!! "Practice, practice, practice and when you think you have it practice some more"!!!
I am lost, Y'all have fun.
Would love to see a few pic's.
I mix all my glitter w/ clear powder and tap it on w/ small paint brushes.
Same with any multicolor jig head.
The ones with horse hair are best as far as control.

Great looking jigs, I'm going to try this method.
