    Default Hook conversion chart

Anyone know where I could find a good chart to convert eagle law to Mustad numbers. Been searching net but I can’t find one. I thought I saw one on here long time ago but can’t find it.

Barlow's usually takes photos with rulers, might help you out if you want to compare specific sizes.

There's one for fly tying hooks but most molds have that on the inside do a close up view on the do it site or use Barlows catalouge. But most size's are really close so a size 4 in one is close to size 4 in another.

Has anyone else have this problem? Both my eagle claw lil nasty and Mustad skipjack hook purchases has resulted in same thing. The eye of the hook isn’t closed all the way which is a nightmare for braid users. Pic is of Mustad on left side and Matzuo on the right. Never had problems with this with Matzuo.

Happened with the last batch of EC I got. I had to close a few with pliers. EC isn't know for their QC though.

The last thousand lil nasty black sickles had the same problem. I keep pair of pliers on table to close the eyes.

I had a batch of #8 Matzuo that have that issue. These are bronze color but most all the others of the very many I have had no issues. Aggravating when a fish comes off and the knot is still tied.

Every brand of hook I've ever had has had some like that! Just keep the pliers laying at hand or when you're sitting around take the box out and check them, and then when you're ready to pour they're done. But yeah it's a pain the the A$$.

I’ve just never had whole batches of hooks be the same way. Have had them here or there. I’ll give Mustad a shot again.
