    Default Heat Gun before painting

My wife has a crafting heat gun... will this be hot enough to heat the lead for the powder paint to adhere? I still plan to bake in a small oven afterwards, but the initial heat...didn't know if this would work or if I need to get a regular heat gun?

Here are the details for it - thanks in advance::
From shrink-wrapping gift baskets for a professional touch to easily removing stubborn adhesive labels, this heating tool is a mainstay in the crafting room. It’s an excellent tool for drying inks and glues, re-melting adhesives for longer durability and even curing embossing powders. Easy-to-use for novices and advanced crafters alike, this unique resource will take your projects to creative new heights.

    Details:
    For craft and floral use
    Temperature can reach 600 degrees

It should. Just test it out. It says melting temp of lead is 621F so may be perfect.

That's what I have been using for a couple of years. On the lower heat setting, it works great, but different colors have different melting points, so you may do as I did and make a chart of how many Mississippi's it takes for each color that you use. While it may not be necessary, I rotate the jighead as I'm counting.
