Default heat gun or alcohol burner?

What's better for heating jig heads for powder paint? Alcohol burner or heat gun? What's the good and bad for each?

I use a table top heat gun and it works great. About a 3 count is all it takes to have the jig ready to go. This is the one i use. I'm sure u can find it for a better price. Mine was given to me so not sure how much he paid for it.

Heat gun, cheap from harbor freight. Made my own little stand from peice of plywood and 2/2 blocks to get it sitting upright. Easy to use after a few tries. I never had much luck using burners of any type. Some swear by them. Heat gun draw back is noise but I'm deaf anyway so dosnt bother me.

Been using a heat gun bout like 2boatJoe's for several years.Larger/smaller jigs just vary the time(count seconds). Does a great job. Completely agree with Cray on noise as a downfall but I am also deaf (especially deaf when she is trying to tell me something I don't want to hear)......Huh,What,whatdidyousay?

Powder painted before getting fluid beds and got by. Absolutely like using fluid beds as I can control the volume of paint applied much better. The end result is much
more consistent. To each their own. If you are happy, that is what counts.
