    Here's the reply I got:

I use tool steel pins for the smaller sizes because I could not find Teflon in that diameter. I went to speedy metals and got 5/64" rod and for the FG-9 I simply cut the head and point off of a 1/16" finishing nail. The steel doesn't work as well as the Teflon but it is the only option available

No problem - actually several other replies were to the effect of WHY manufacturers didn't produce them.

One of the best mods I've seen in a long while. Excellent work.

All PTFE(Teflon) has a melting point of 635 degrees Fahrenheit. We have used one piece commercially hundreds of times in the Do-It weedless molds. You may not be able to buy it there without a tax number. Here are some specs. http://catalog.wshampshire.com/Asset...eflon_ptfe.pdf

Great mod. I may have to borrow this one if you do not mind Dr. Nip.
