Got my Hilts Molds 1/16 oz Trout Head mold in today. It doesn't want to close all the way without some force. Hopefully it will loosen up a bit with time and hinge oiling. The mold is hollowed out unlike Do-It molds that are large chunks of aluminum. This means that it will heat up quickly but it will also cool down quickly. I'm not sure if this will be good or bad in the long run but we'll see. For $18 delivered, I can't complain too much. Thanks again to Buckeye for posting the link.

One thing that I use to lubricate my molds is "One Shot" it is a silicone lubricant that reloaders use to lube the rifle / pistol cases as they resize them. It works fantastic. Just give it a good shot of it and move the mold back and forth and it will loosen up for you.

    Stay safe,

Thanks Bobo. I reload and am very familiar with it. Never thought to use it for that though!
