This is a serious question but how do you determine whether somebody will screw you over or not if they can't sale anything? I also realize some folks do join just rip others off too. How about a minimum number of post before allowing somebody to sale on the boards? I've been on bass boat central for years & have bought a bunch of stuff & sold a few items & never had a single problem whatsoever & i can guarantee nobody there will say that i ever ripped them off.![]()

Les, that rule is in place. It's 25 posts before any sales are allowed. Problem is people don't read the site rules or forum rules, and there's no way to set it up so that they cannot post a sale before they post 25 times. That's where the mods come in and try and catch these violations, but we can't be on here 24/7, so a few get thru (for awhile) now & then.
Just to clarify, I made the post to address solicitation via PMs. Any newbie can send anyone a PM.
And also to clarify a little about what Pappy and Les said; We do have a minimum setup to post in the Personal Classified Ads. There's only one problem, the way the software is written, if the person was a member prior to me implementing the rule, they can post on the Personal Classified Ads forum. Nothing I can do short of resetting them one at a time for 50,000 members. So it's rare that we'll see someone who does not have the required minimum, but it has happened.
Thanks for the clarification guys. I meant no harm was just wondering.![]()
