I ship alot of items and have found DHL to be the least expensive with great service. They pickup at your door and deliver at the door just like the other guys. They will also take bigger bulkier items and not kill you with extra charges. They also have online order service, free containers and labels and online tracking.

What kind of free containers? Hooker
shipping boxes similar to USPS priority boxes and shipping labels and label sleeves. They set me up an account at no charge too. Just make a call or go online and you can request a pickup from your door or someone elses door. Nice if you are buying something and you are handling your own shipping. I have shipped cylinder heads, small parts, even a corvette front end right from my door. UPS,FEDEX or USPS will not do that.

Good info thanks
Im sure you may have heard of USPS flat rate boxes but I just want to mention they are great for shipping Lead. I shipped over 50 pounds and it was only $14.95. The postman said to tape it up good though with some strong tape because they seem to get holes from the extra weight and fall apart.

Thanks for the info on dhl
I like to ship USPS first class on small items under 13 ounces like baits and stuff. 3oz cost $2.04, 3-6oz is $2.50, etc plus I always just put the items in my mail box, I print my own labels at home too using paypal.com/shipnow, very efficient way to do it as well

for shipping rods of any length go to a carpet store and ask for the spool that carpet comes on They're very heavy cardboard and with a little bubble wrap and some heavy tape over the ends make a great shipping tube and they're usually free.
smiles are contagious, spread them around
