I had a 150 Mariner and it ran good and hard with a 25 laserII, rpms were good . I put a 27 pitch trophy on it and it went 700 higher and lost a lot of speed, but the hole shot was incredible. I was surprised that a trophy four blade with a taller pitch behaved like it did. Just my experience, thought it may help.

That’s really why i wanted to borrow one before I bought it. I tried a yamaha vented T1 25” and it had better mid range punch and lift but about the same whole shot. I figure a trophy 25 or 24 with 2 vents plugged would be my sweet spot but don’t know if I need to fall all the way to 24. My other problem
Is I’ve got 46 gallons of $1.26 fuel onboard. Need to burn off half of it to make my tests.

Good enough. Just wanted to give my input. I didn’t try plug variations and not sure it was the right diameter, mine took a pretty big prop.. I’ve been told that the three blade would be faster but sacrifice some hole shot. I was pleased with it overall. My laser also had the lip turned some and gave a good bite and bow lift. Now the dumb part, I bought it for $75 at a flea market.
