Default Mahoney boat launch at Shenango lake!

Be very careful if you launch at Sharpsville. The road leading to the launch has a lot of pot holes. The first pot hole right at the gate leading to the launch has a pipe stick up in the pot hole. A real tire buster for sure. The word from the corps is that it will be 3-4 months before they fix the road. Waiting on cold patch.

That’s a shame. If it was the campground road, it would be fixed immediately.

I was told that to do the stretch from the gate to the launch was going to cost between 5-6 million. They have piles of stone and gravely around the lake but can’t use it because it was bought for other projects.

Yes the worse spots were filled. They added speed bumps. Still a few spots that needs filled. At least now you can drive down the road without loosing a tire

Speaking of those speed bumps, guys better slow down on the one near the ramp parking or there’s going to be some trailers headed to the shop soon. While I’m getting my boat ready I see them not slow down enough and their boat and trailer hop into the air. That can’t be good for their springs and axles. If you’re reading this and doing that, please slow down. We don’t want you to have a bad day at the lake.

They decided that they should not have the one near the lots down by the ramps and removed it a couple days ago.
