Thanks Chaunc, no I never done the wafers but have done cheek meat , I think they are a little grisly, like the fillets the best. This is the first time my son and I had other people fish with us. Wind was to high today, had 2-3 footers this morning. Will be at Shenango Memorial Day week at campground.

Congratulations on a great week, you are making me think of getting out there. The lake looks like you had some smooth sailing.

Yes , had some good Walleye fishing this week weather, just one day of 3 footers, caught more15–17” this year so that means next couple years good fishing. Love to caught those 18 to 23” size for eating. Out there spoils you for fishing Pymatuning.

I don’t spend any time fishing inland lakes for walleyes anymore. Two trips to Erie and I’m good for the freezer, if my kids don’t find it in there.

Just got back from a week at camp, fished Erie out of Conneaut Harbor, it was a blast. We got to fish 5 of 7 days because of weather and waves. We limited out 3 times with 3 guys and the others we could have but kept throwing them back because said we had enough keepers. We drifted and casted worm harnesses in 45 to 50 ft. , just outside of the harbor. The fish ranged from 6 to 27 inches with the majority in the 12 to 18 range and not to many sheeps or white perch. The bonus was catching some really nice yellow perch occasionally. Most of the days we probably caught over 70 fish. We went through over 20 dozen crawlers cut in half. If you can. go up now for some fantastic casting while they are in close.

Headed up in the morning on a charter boat. Always have fun fishing out of Conneaut. I’ll post pics if I can stop laughing long enough to get them.
