    Default HP question Shenango, Pymatuming


    Can you use a bigger than 20 hp motor on Shenango or Pymatuming if you keep it at idle speed or below a certain mph ?

    Unlimited on Shenango except in the no wake areas located around the lake. Mostly side bays and from the trestle to the dam area. On Pymatuning there’s a strict hp limit. Nothing bigger than a twenty hp is permitted to be run on the entire lake. That’s why most guys from up north have the two motor setups on their rigs. You don’t have to remove the props from the big motor anymore. Years back we had to.

    Thanks for the info I know coming from you it is correct, Thanks again . Wow didn't know you used to have to remove the prop !
