Thanks. I see a LiveScope in my future this spring. Are you happy with the screen size you picked, or do you wish you had gone larger as so many have said?

Bigger is always better, if you have the money to get it and the space to place it in your boat. My front end is so crowded I had to downsize my Bird 12 to a nine because my livescope was blocking a lot of my screen from where I had it placed. Didnít have room to move the 12 safely so I got the 9 and moved it over about 6 inches. Can see my whole screen now.

Action picked up today at Shenango. We iced 22 nice crappies and 1 chunky bluegill before calling it a day. A variety of jig colors did the job today.

I got my limit but decided at the dock that I didnít feel like cleaning 20 fish. So I threw back everything under 10Ē and kept ten 12ís and 2 elevens. Had to move around quite a bit to get them. Wind was up so I had to fish my secondary spots. Thatís what I like most about Shenango lake. You can always find somewhere out of the wind and still catch fish. Over fifty years experience on that lake helps tho. Thereís more people fishing at this time of year than Iíve ever seen. Even mid week. I hope everyone is enjoying themselves as much as I am.

Agree with your observation on the number of folks on the lake Smitty. When we left there were more trailers parked at the campground launch Wednesday than there were the prior Friday. I will guess that will drop once the docks are pulled. I think we are within approximately a week of that annual event. Captain Joe and I still plan another few trips to enjoy the fall action when the weather is favorable. My dad enjoyed seeing the 13-14” crappies through the window at the nursing home. We finally get inside next week in an isolated area to spend 30 minutes with him Tuesday.

Thatís great youíll be able to spend time with your dad next week. Iím not as fortunate. My brother died in his nursing home a few months ago from Covid. Was rough as we couldnít even see him as he was leaving us. Anyway, enough of that. I asked the COE if they could leave the docks in a little longer this year as we havenít been having early freezes in the last couple years this early. They didnít get back to me so weíll see if the do. Theyíre normally gone by mid month. With the lake dropping slower than usual, they just might not take them this early.

That would be great if the COE could leave the docks in a few more weeks. It all still works without the docks, but they sure help the cause especially if the breezes kick up. We have never launched at Mahaney. I would guess it is tamer there versus the campground launch if a south or southwest wind gets feisty?
