    Default Anyone fishing?

This weather has been just horrible!! I know with covid going on a lot of people are staying in as well! Has anyone been out? I am headed out this Wednesday in hopes to connect with a few slabs.. I personally have a 45 minute drive to my preferred fishing hole and the weather has me staying home... I cannot get out of my head that fish bite less in the cold weather and with all these fronts I feel like it would be a rough bite.. I’ve been sitting on my butt waiting for consistent weather and it’s not happening.. do you guys just bite the bullet and go out? I have no problem sitting outside for hours upon hours in cold temperatures, but just feel like I do better on a nice warm sunny day.

I sit at home and watch the weather, early spring I think to myself man it should heat up with a few 50-60 degree days in a row, I gotta be out there.. That warm weather comes and gets knocked down again a few days later. (I’ve fished this and feel like it’s a harder bite). what do you guys look for this time of the year that makes you want to get out? If a cold front passes how long do you think it takes for the bite to turn back on? Can it be immediate or should I wait a few days to get water temp up?!?!?

I have been in also been trying to get out. I am not a fair weather fisherman but it does make it nicer. For me it`s because the schools are closed ,and my grand daughters are here with me .I have to stay on top of them to keep up with their school work .But anybody I know who has been out has had no luck. They all say the same thing the bite has been slow this crazy weather we have been having

Fishing has been on hold for me and some buddies during the roughest stretch of this cold wallop, but it looks like we are ready to flip the switch from furnace to AC. Fish catching should turn on as well once we get past these cold days and nights at mid week. You should see lots of catch reporting late week and especially net week if the forecast holds.

Shenango temps are holding in the low 50's, so if at Pymy, and its shallow water, it should be okay. Remember, Chaunc said it needs to be mid 50's to get them crappie biting. Would be trying fishing deeper at first, then work towards shallow.

Had the opportunity to get out Sunday. Cold and wet for a while. Nothing in the shallow spots. Found them in the deeper water after one o’clock and put 14 fat black 10” and better in the last spot I fished. Shenango.

Nice haul chaunc.. I had 60 surface temp last Sunday before the awful weather. I am hoping the slight warmup today (even though I had snow flakes at the house) and calling for almost 60 degrees helps. I’m sure they are not far it’s just finding them with limited time! Was hoping to set off by 3pm now it’s looking a little later 4-4:30 with work going to be a little busy. On a positive note honey do projects are done and I did get approval from my main boss (my wife) to hit the water daily for a few weeks starting Saturday.. If weather permits I am going to take my daughter out for the first time on the boat. Might be a short trip being she’s 3 but I’m sure she will have fun cruising around and feeling in a few fish. I need to keep some more fish, have a fish fry on the 23rd for 8 guys and only have a few packs of eyes and a gallon bag full of crappie.

Would like to hit Wilhelm this weekend. The weather lady says we will be dodging rain and thunderstorms but the temperature is supposed to be in the 70s. We need some warm rain to push the water temperature up. I will post if we have any luck.

Saturday we’re supposed to get a break in the morning from the rains. Might be a good day to get out on wilhelm or even take the three year old out for a while. I’m hoping to get to linesville. I hear the bite is picking up. Last two trips there for me I skunked out.
