That is a nice fish but I completely agree with you chaunc. I caught a 16 and 1/4 and it weighed 2.3, maybe my scale is off or something lol.

Nothing wrong with that scale. A healthy 15” crappie will go 2 pounds anytime. I’ve caught numerous 2#ers and even a couple 3’s in my lifetime. I’d know a four if I saw it. That may not even make two. The one in my photo was measured. 14 1/2”. Would have been close to two but if their not 15, I don’t even bother weighing them now. Not bragging or anything. I’ve just caught so many in my lifetime.
