    Default Neshaminy Creek Getting Ready!

Hi all. Caught 7 nice pans yesterday morning. Water is still cold, but the pans are starting to come up in the coves and slower water. The ones I caught had nice color, fought well and looked well fed. Trout Magnets in Bison and Sowbug on a 1/64 did the trick. Yesterday night temps were in the 50s, and if we can get some consistency there I think we’ll be on our way for spawning. Sorry no pics. I slipped on a flat rock covered with real good river snot and fell in. You know the tech tip to put your phone in a bag? Forgot that one :-(. The phone is getting the rice bag treatment, and I did a semi clean of the reel that was great yesterday but binding on startup today. Oddly, reverse works perfectly - so today I have to dig in and take the case cover off.
Anyway, hope all is well. Stay healthy and spring fishing is finally starting to happen!

I assume you are well but how is the equipment? Phones can be very expensive. Hope the reel is back in working condition.

Dirty Harry said it best. In answer to your questions, the phone made a very valiant attempt but is kaput. I was able to make a call with it, but no reliability. The Pflueger on a second tweak seems as good as ever, so that’s a positive. As far as a man knowing limits, on Tuesday I decided to cut some aggravating branches from a tree, and not having a chain saw cut it by hand. Sounds easy, right? Well long story short by Thursday I was in extreme pain on my right side. I think if I cracked a rib when I press it I would pass out, but maybe severely bruised or a torn muscle. I don’t know. All I know is I’m a hurting puppy. I had a whole bunch of xrays yesterday but of course being Friday I’ll have to wait until Monday to get the word. You just can’t do at 73 what you could do even 10 years ago. There isn’t much of a bright side, but the weather is so crappy I couldn’t go fishing if I wanted to.
Whining over LOL Be well and stay within your limits!

Sorry to hear you are having physical problems. I get it. I REALLY get it! At 66 yrs. old I guess I am not willing to accept going from 50 to 80 years old physically. At least that is what my body seemed to do. I agree we need to know our limits. By next week it is going to be the start of nice normal weather, according to our local weatherman. Perhaps if nothing else that can raise our spirits and lessen some pain.
