Thread: We just can’t get off the Schneid!

Same here Bob. 50's and cloudy but expecting some sun later. In NW PA if you ain't shoveling you should be smiling. Weird winter/spring. My observations ..Mild winters are followed by late springs. I'll be rolling the yard today.

The wife and I took a ride today just to get out of the house for our own mental health. We drove down in to see how many people were fishing in the Clarion river behind Strattanville. All the parking spaces had pickups and boat trailers in them. They were parked in any place they could find room. The banks looked like the first day of trout season. Alot of people were not 6ft apart. It was a nice day and people want to get out of the house but we have to be very careful in this trying time. Please be careful out there and stay safe.

Patrapper, that is not a scene for me. They should all know better. Sure, maybe some are immediate family, but still. On the Shenango Lake Face Book page, they are all complaining about the docks not being put in. Why is it, that some just don't have any common sense? The lake usually doesn't put in docks, till the end of April. Even the marina hasn't put them in. Yes I put some comments on the page, and they probably won't like what I said.

Would I love to be fishing now,yes I would. But I'm not. I am at home dreaming about fishing. I sure don't want to sick with this stuff as it is hard on people my age. I sure don't want my brother,my fishing buddy,to get it because he is in the high risk factor being a cancer survivor. I hope this nightmare ends soon.

Unfortunately this is just a sign of the times. Some people refuse to follow instructions even if it is to their own benefit. They act that way thinking they are special and have that "well it will never happen to me" attitude. I know this for sure, I'm going to watch out for me and my folks regardless. Yes I want to fish as bad as anybody else but if I have to wait to be safe, I will. As much as I love to fish I like making and organizing fishing tackle equally as well. It keeps me busy and occupies the mind. Guys be smart and be safe.

Well said, guys. I like stream wading because it does let you be out on your own. In my favorite fishing section you have to walk 1/4 mile to get to the stream, and if you take the time to walk up 1/4 mile all the lazy fishermen are long gone. With all that said, if I see the lot jammed up I have turned around and left. It just isn’t worth it, and as an older guy my good days these days are not necessarily my best days! Laughing. I think I may have the beginnings of a country song in there!
