AddictedAngler hope your wife has gotten better and you are both doing well. I believe the main reason the PA Fish and Boat Commission didn't allow volunteers is because they didn't stock all the streams on the list in the beginning and keeping streams that were stocked a secret would cause less numbers of people to fish a particular area and people would be more spread out. Don't know if that worked. I'm one of the guys who have a life time license including for trout and Lake Erie. Can't get those any more but to be younger I'd gladly pay for the license. Pop

Thanks for every ones concerns for my wife. She is 95% OK. Still very tired and still sleeping 10 hours a day. However other then that she is 99%. It has been about 7 weeks since she got sick so I guess whatever she had is just hanging on a little.
We celebrated our 41 wedding anniversary yesterday however it did not seem like a normal one. We always went out to dinner and usually would go and get our outside flowers for outside planting. Well that was totally put on hold. I - we did not mind and we went for a 1 hour ride. I got to fish for about1/2 hour and landed two 5 inch wild brook trout. That made my day. Those fish are some of the most beauty full things mother nature has provided for us. IMO.
I go to see the surgeon tomorrow to get my wrist operated on. Just a simple car pol tunnel op. At 66 years old I guess I am lucky to be in decent health but I sometimes think I am 21 again.
I hope every one remains in good health and stays safe.

Happy Anniversary, to the both of you. Good deal on the trout. We are supposed to get some (dirty word) snow, later this week. This weather for spring, is just crazy this year.

Yes, Happy Anniversary and best wishes for good carpal surgery. Right now I’m holding my own and hope I won’t need to get mine operated on. I wear wrist braces at night and then I can get thru the day ok. So far the last couple of seasons I have done plenty of casting and no numbness or anything like that. I keep an eye on it and if I notice a change I will get it done.

Thanks guys. I went to the surgeon yesterday and the neurologist gave a wrong diagnosis. The surgeon said the problem is a radial nerve that is aggravated. No cure or operation to repair it. I was diagnosed with flyfishermen elbow(right arm) a few years ago. My doctor said that that mine may be the first one described with that diagnosis. Since I do not play tennis she said tennis elbow was a incorrect diagnosis. I have not swung a hammer any more then I have to for many years but I refuse to quit fishing. I tried to fly fish left handed a few times. Casting is not a problem but my right hand does not seem to work well with line control. I did this to try to understand why some beginners have problems casting a fly rod. ???
It is hard to believe we may have freezing temperatures tomorrow. I can remember having snow on the ground near Hancock NY a week before Memorial Day. We were camping on the Delaware river at our spring fishing camp and woke up to a winter wonder land. That same year the temperature got down into the lower 20s one night. I had a cup of water near my bed and it was frozen solid. I used to sleep under a cap in my truck bed. No heat. Bur!! I just bought a Aliner camper with a furnace as my worn out old body does not do well in cold rainy conditions. I assume some can understand my thoughts on this.
This change in weather will more then likely change all fishing conditions and adjust spawning in the near future. Be safe

Agree on the spawn. Shenango temps, have held in the low 50's, but will see what they post today.

Chaunc, posted in the main forum, that it is possible, that we might end up not having a spawn this year, because of the weather. Let's hope not, but it is possible. Yes some might still try to spawn, but it could mean a very poor year.
