    Default Getting ready for spring

The weather is going to start warming up within the next week or two. Anybody got there spring fishing plans mapped out yet? Taking my boat out of storage soon but will probably shore fish a couple days before I do. Shenango first, Pymatuning second. Hope the water warms quickly.

The weather does look promising. Let's hope when it does do spring it stays spring. Snow I don't mind as long as it doesn't happen in May. My boat is about 10 yards from the living room sitting in the garage. I'll need to check the oils and get some fresh gas (the stuff without corn) and do a battery check. Tackle wise I need to pick up some nibbles and refresh some mono lines. Fellas take care, be safe and have fun!

Chaunc when getting gas on Tuesday, they had the gate open to the swim beach. On my way over saw a warden, or corp truck parked on the other side, at top of parking lot, then when coming back saw the gate open. But they might have closed it later.

I'm thinking spring. Tying worm harnesses and gathering gear for crappies and perch. Probably do some bank fishing first. Get the boat ready for Pymatuning,Wilhelm and the Clarion River. We did well on the walleye on the river last year. Did very well on Wilhelm for crappies. Spring can't get here fast enough.

I’m pretty much ready and can’t wait. Even washed the vest! LOL The vest has been restocked with fresh baits, jigs, etc. reels have been cleaned and lubed/oiled, fresh line all around. I do need to give my waders a good look/see, and get a spray bottle of fresh scent.
I did do a short bank fish the other day and got skunked, but it was a good shakedown run. Some warm days coming up this week, and the creek should clear a little from yesterday’s rain

I’m getting there too. Still have a lot to get done but I’m ready to brake in the new motor.. going to redo trailer lights and put new tires on but other then that my trips are all planned and I’m ready to roll. Might get a few buckets of perch from shore to start filling the cooler then head down to pymatuning for rest of the spring. Might finally give in and start fishing the northern part of pymatuning.

They’re catching perch by the bucketful at the Linesville docks. Check out The Robinson bait shop report on Facebook daily. Great info. I’ve got a buddy that caught quite a few crappies on Shenango lake today. He was in his boat. No further details about that tho.

Took a tour around Pymatuning today. Looks like time to gas up the boat. I could not believe the number of gulls (flying rats) on the south end. I've never have seen them like that. Must be migrating through. The Jamestown marina actually stinks from feathers and gull crap. Not real familiar with the North end fishing but I'm going to give it a go this year. Many folks on the docks at Linesville Marina. Several boats and waders in the first bay south of the old Spillway Inn. They must be doing some good. Didn't visit Wilson area but I imagine there is a crowd. Going to try it soon possibly off the docks first. Good Luck Ya'll.
