Had a great couple days of catch and release these last two trips out. Fish are still holding in the 14foot depth too. Jig colors changed the second day as the clouds moved in. I actually had to go to darker colors to catch those crappies. In two days Iíve caught around 80 keeper sized crappies. Nothing over twelve inches.

Made it back out Sunday morning. Did pretty good. Tough day as I forgot to charge my trolling motor batteries but still made the most of it. Dropped an anchor and used a slide bobber and jig. Bite was fantastic all day. Probably caught around a hundred fish and culled out a very nice limit of 20 keepers.

Those are nice. Now we got snow. Will you put the boat away now, or hold off for a bit?

Hold off for a bit. Itís still fall. This cold spell wonít last long. Should get another week or more of open water fishing before I put it away.
