Many of our creeks are all but bank full but very fishable. The weatherman ( woman) says chance of showers the next few days but that should not hurt the water any. Also temperatures will be rising so a pleasant day should be had by all. I suggest the usual baits such as power bait for the rainbows and live minnows and worms for the brooks and browns. On the Yellowbreeches creek we can expect to see Hendrickson may flys and Grannom Caddis very soon. Usually mid day when water and air temperatures are right they will emerge. White streamers and dark colored wollybuggers with a small shot will catch plenty of fish if no bug activity occurs.Be care full and be patient. There will be plenty of fishermen so expect some combat fishing especially first thing in the morning.
My thoughts are on crappie and shad but opening day is a real circus. Fortunately I will be in the shop hearing all the stories!
