Chaunc, there are already those of us, who think highly of you, in the world of crappie.
What an honor to have some of the best sports writers and fisherman, come to PA for a few days of fishing and have them make a stop to fish one day with me on my home lake. Area local and big time writer, Darl Black, put the camp together for them. They fished Pymatuning lake on monday and tuesday and finished off the camp wednesday at shenango. Jeff Samsel from GA, TJ Stallings from AL, Walt Young from Altoona, PA, Russ Bailey from OH, host of midwest crappie tv show, Lou Consoli, PA, creator of Skippy fish lures, Jeff Knapp, PA, Darl and myself. We fished 4 hrs and caught quite a few crappies. Russ fished with me and Darl with the other guys. We all fished the same areas until the last hour when Russ and i took a long ride up lake. We fished shallow brush and a blowdown before the wind picked up and the rain came in. We caught and released over 50 fish. At 3 of the spots it was a fish on every cast for 1/2 an hour. Russ was banging them really good. Guy can flat out slam the crappies. Left the lake and went to have lunch at 12 noon. Took some pictures before we left for lunch. Was a pleasure meeting and fishing with these great guys and i look forward to fishing with them again, somewhere. Here's a few pics.

The pleasure was all mine my friend! BTW- It just occurred to me that we had four of the Crappie Now Magazine contributors there. (Darl, Jeff, Russ and I) Dan, Bill and Tim are on the water at Kentucky Lake. I guess that is solid proof that we really do strong research for our articles. Thank you again for guiding us on your home waters my friend!
