Default Just started working on my bream flies

Thought I would show you one that has worked very well and a few new ones that I need to try out.

The one that I have tried and was great was what is called a Renegade, but I changed the colors on it.

Then today I started playing around with some foam...

They all look good to me, Skip. I'd say that last one ought to work real well on Smallies also.

I think they call that a tag and it's made using gold tinsel. I am surprised you even saw that it's so small.

    Thanks guys,

Skip,I try to put a little natural flash in all my flies. Even the herl in your fly gives a reflection. Might try putting a tag on some of mine and see how they fish.

PS forgot to tell ya That the herl dosen,t last many fish but an old timer told me to wrap the herl around your thread and then on the hook. He,s right it holds up great. You might already do this but some might not.

On most of mine I make a loop and wrap (twist) the herl in with the thread to strengthen it. It is what they call herl chenille then. Love that herl even if it is one of the weaker materials we use. Fish sure like it, LOL!

    Thanks,

Very nice flies. Subsurface, I've always done well on a buggy looking hares ear. That's why it's good to tie your own. Store bought hares ears don't seem buggy enough (hairy enough) for me.
