    Default Took the wrong rod

I took my 6’3” Abu Garcia MB3 travel rod this morning to the Town pond to search for some gills .
The plan was to feed them some of my hand tied micro jigs under a float .
I fished this method for about 45 minutes without any luck , so I switched over to a Trout Magnet and in thirty minutes, I’d hooked one bass that threw the hook before I could get a picture.
I tied up a drop shot rig with a Bobby Garland Itty bit Swim’r , like I’d used earlier this week to catch a few gills .
The longer rod cast the drop shot great , but it lacked the sensitivity of the 5’5” Ajing Daiwa .
I made do . I had to really concentrate to feel the take .
But managed to catch two gills and a couple of small bass in the last thirty minutes I had left to fish . Beats a skunk .

Nice outing. Nothing wrong with having to concentrate.

Some good fish and a better day than I had. I got to fix a fence and mow the grass. Glad you got out and got a few and a smile to go with em.
