I don't understand the reason behind Abu tactics also. I also wonder why it's current Eradicator iteration, the Prototypes are not that well received or at least well talked about here at CDC. Could it be the price increase? For me it's both the price and esthetic, but boy what a piece of engineering that rod must be to be in the sub 30 grams in weight. Hello, all! Just dropping by to provide a little information on a Daiwa Presso Air availability. As most already know the Abu G Eradicator 67sul Special Taper was the reason why we still here reading this post....in hope of 1 popping up for sale somewhere. Sadly it had been out of production and those "awaken", according to an enthusiast on YouTube, i_fish at time of availability had already purchased them all.
However there is a Hi-End (over $200) Daiwa Presso Air AGS rod that is currently available that is touted equal if not better than the Eradicator Realfinesse Special Taper, quoting the 510xul version as be "dead perfect" for those twitching troutmagnet. I just wish our members who own one can start a post shedding some light. I, on the other hand opted for a more upscale-look version of the same blank, I believe, AKA the 20th Anniversary Limited edition:

They (Daiwa) also make the Presso with the cork fore-grip. I may have to pull the trigger on one.

LVSpinfisher1 do you own or have fished the Slow taper special to these rods for a side by side comparison. Randy if you own one please chime in. Scott

Scott, i wish I do own one. I was one of many were asleep when the Slow Taper special was available! I settled on the 510 just to have a Eradicator RF. Regardless I'm no expert in rod action it still hold true the 67sul S.T s would be more fun than the stiffer 510 "Dominator" rod.
