Thread: Another short trip

Spent thirty minutes with my 6’ St Croix Imperial 2wt flyrod this morning while my wife had PT .
It was cloudy and breezy and I had one of those days where I had to retie four times , taking up valuable time .
Once was because I found I had missed the center of my stripper guide that last time I used this rod . Somehow threaded it right through the side of the guide .
I did manage to catch six total , 2 unexpected crappies and four gills .
Hard to beat a flyrod for quick trips .
Just noticed, I got photobombed by the white ducks in the last picture .
